Senior Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with solid management experience of small and large scale operations as well as strong organizational skills. In cooperation with several technical colleagues, this position coordinates management and oversees technical processes and best practices for data-related electronic discovery projects; manages project budgets; manages day to day client interaction; develops ongoing client relationship; and ultimately oversees level of quality of delivery product/service. Candidates will be expected to have a solid base of technical experience and possess strong interpersonal skills, essential to our client’s expectations. In addition, they would need to have outstanding communication skills. On-site work is common; occasional telecommuting may be arranged depending on project requirements. Position Responsibilities:
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Tracks and reports team hours and project expenses on a weekly basis
  • Manages project budget and client expectations
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing
  • Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding invoices questions
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
  • Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
  • Possesses experience in litigation support, case management and FRCP
  • Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
Long Term or Growth Responsibilities:
  • Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly
  • Understands our pricing model and billing procedures
  • Provides accurate revenue forecasts, profitability, margins, bill rates, capacity of consultants and consultant utilization
  • Assures project legal documents are completed and signed
  • Understands proprietary process to facilitate communications with clients and internal technologists
  • Identifies business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project
  • Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping and LOE assessments
  • Conveys our message effectively in both written and verbal business development discussions
Qualifications:
  • Five to seven years of managing large scale projects and resources for those projects
  • Familiar with the litigation discovery process, experience with large-scale document review, production, and trial preparation
  • Experience using industry-standard Litigation Support utilities/applications such as Concordance, Summation, Encase, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with the concepts, management, retrieval, and use of electronically stored information
  • Outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills required
  • Organization and time management skills essential – This includes the ability to effectively multi-task on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
