 The ACEDS is the first membership organization devoted to the professional interests of the entire e–discovery community. Its mission is to enhance competence through a certification that is extended to candidates who successfully complete a rigorous psychometrically–sound examination to achieve the Certified E–Discovery Specialist, or CEDS designation. ACEDS also provides high quality online and live training, connects ACEDS members with experts through various forums to facilitate the exchange of ideas and solutions to problems, and produces practical, timely information.


The Organization of Legal Professionals – OLP is a non-profit organization establishing guidelines and standards for the legal field, with an emphasis on e-discovery. The organization:

  • Evaluates compliance with the standards;
  • Recognizes organizations and programs which demonstrate compliance;
  • Serves as a resource on quality certification;
  • Certifies educational providers that meet The OLP’s standards.
