Privilege Log

Digital WarRoom will automatically add a new privilege log entry every time a document is marked as privileged. This log keeps track of which reviewer ID marked the document and when the document was marked. A privilege log is required by law in order to maintain the integrity of your eDiscovery review.

Redactions

Redacting over privileged or confidential information is common in eDiscovery. Digital WarRoom allows you to redact any area of a document and add a custom label for that redaction. Our redaction tool is designed to be as efficient as possible - drawing boxes on TIFF images.

Who to Whom (About What)

Most eDiscovery projects typically contain many emails. If you have 500 GBs of documents to review, its likely that you don’t have a strong idea of the documents in your review environment. Who to Whom (About What) provides a heat map grid of emails that hit on your keyword with individual email senders on y axis and all email recipients on x axis. In a quick glance, red and orange boxes show the most common email correspondence in the data set.

Email Thread Visualizer

Email threads often diverge off in different directions when emailers cc and bcc different combinations of people throughout the thread. The email thread visualizer gives you the ability to visually track long threads across many users. It is important not to lose track of these email threads in eDiscovery as they often tell a story. For example: when one document hits on a relevant keyword, the entire thread may be worth reviewing more closely.

OCR - Searching Images and PDFs

Digital WarRoom’s OCR engine will detect and index words from images and PDFs. This means that all words in images and PDFs will be scanned and are therefore searchable when reviewing documents. For example, if you OCR a picture of a stop sign, you will be able to enter the keyword “stop” and the same image will appear in your filter set.

Producing Documents

Digital WarRoom allows users to build production sets to be provided to receiving parties. Production sets can be exported in a variety of formats but begin with creating images that have applied confidentiality designations and Bates numbering. Digital WaRoom also provides support for all-native file productions.

Hosting Opposing Party and Third Party Productions

Digital WarRoom makes it easy to add a production from an adverse party. The software can handle documents and load files in industry standard formats for eDiscovery tools. Digital WarRoom can also overlay metadata from other productions, allowing users to align the metadata fields from other platforms with those found in DWR. 3rd party data may be messy because it is out of your control. Digital WarRoom consultants are always happy to assist.

Deduping

eDiscovery professionals can sometimes become overwhelmed by the sheer number of documents to review. In most cases, there is no need to review several duplicates of the same document. There are settings available that allow you to dedupe in different ways. For example: dedupe all, dedupe across selected documents, or dedupe within custodians. Most importantly, you have the option for any designation placed on a document to be propagated across all duplicate documents.
